Wembley Hotel- Cambridge St, Wembley
This Wednesday I ventured out to the Wembley Hotel for their Steak Special- at $12 bucks for reef and beef/surf and turf and whichever other way you want to describe succulent T-Bone Steak drizzled in Prawns &creamy garlic sauce along with a side of either salad or chips- you cant beat this value for money. Drinks are also reasonably priced, centrally located this is an ideal watering hole for some good old fashioned pub grub at 1980's prices, minus the mullets.
- Service: Fairly fast and uncomplicated, food was delivered in a timely fashion and the staff were friendly and helpful. It wasnt overly packed either - despite their amazing wednesday special, processing times were bang on.
- Food: It rivals steaks I have paid $30 or more for, 300g T bone steak, side of chips or salad and creamy garlic sauce drizzled on top of the prawns... delicious, tastes twice as good knowing how much money was saved and no skimping on quality- very good value.
- Atmosphere: Warm, Spacious, loads of room and extra areas both inside and out, the crowd was pretty mellow- no pretentious hype, just a chilled atmosphere in comfortable well maintained surroundings, it was all about a relaxing meal and drink after a long day for most who were there, a nice change of pace.
- Demographic: Anybody who is wants value for money, GREAT VALUE.
- Rating: 5/5 for value
Comments:
We also enjoyed the Churros for desert, they were nice for the price.. however far too much sugar and cinnamon, to the point that we felt like we'd been at the beach for all of the sandy granules everywhere. It was nice however and served two for dessert, complimented well by chocolate dipping sauce and fresh strawberries.. for a mere $9.50.
